Job summary

Association of Minnesota Counties seeks an HRA-EDA Executive Director to lead policy development, budget oversight, and program administration for county housing and economic development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of management principles and supervisory methods.
• Experience in local government finance and budgeting.
• Experience with economic development and housing programs.

Responsibilities

• Markets the County for business development opportunities. Plans, coordinates and facilitates development between cities, businesses, and the county.
• Provides technical assistance to local governments, organizations and businesses including financial planning and grants.
• Develops and maintains relationships with the County Board, cities and townships; informs them of HRA-EDA activities.
• Oversees financial administration and ensures accountability, records and reports.
• Prepares annual HRA-EDA budget, grant applications and annual reports.
