Job summary

Frederick County Local Government seeks an Economic Development Coordinator to collect and analyze site, real estate, and market information for prospective businesses. The role prepares research, presentations, and responses; maintains development information; and researches grant opportunities to support EDA activities and planning.

Responsibilities include compiling market indicators, providing data-driven insights, and coordinating data for short- and long-term EDA objectives.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of three years of experience in economic development, grant research or writing, data analysis, or related field.
Working knowledge of economic development principles, grant research, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Collect, verify, and analyze real estate, site, demographic, business, and market data for economic development projects.
Prepare site studies, responses to information requests, and tailored materials for prospective businesses and site visits, including presentations.
Maintain up-to-date information on the website.
Prepare customized presentations for prospective visits using site and market data.
Research grant opportunities and maintain deadlines and requirements.
Provide data research and market intelligence for EDA activities and strategies.
Supervise the annual compilation of market performance indicators in support of EDA goals.
Support development of EDA short- and long-term objectives.
