Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking an Econ Dev & Data Center Integration Manager to lead complex projects that advance economic development, data center integration, and large customer growth opportunities.

The role coordinates schedules, budgets, risks, and communications while serving as a liaison among customers, internal teams, and external partners to drive successful outcomes and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Economics, Computer Science, Communications, or related field.
• Eight (8) years of relevant experience in project management, customer project coordination, economic development, utility operations, large customer account management, infrastructure development, engineering, construction management, or related experience.
• Experience supporting utility infrastructure projects, economic development initiatives, large commercial or industrial customers, or data center customers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate assigned projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and status reporting.
• Serve as a primary liaison for customers, internal stakeholders, contractors, and consultants.
• Effectively communicate project status, key milestones, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
• Lead project meetings, customer discussions, and stakeholder reviews while ensuring alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
