Job summary

The City of Chandler, Arizona is seeking an Economic Development Assistant Director to lead the Economic Development Division. This full-time role, Monday–Friday, reports to the Economic Development Director and focuses on business attraction, retention, expansion, and entrepreneurship initiatives within Chandler’s growing economy.

Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and bring at least eight years of economic development experience, including four years in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field required; 8+ years of economic development experience incl. 4+ years supervisory
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities to perform the work

• Supervise, manage and lead division activities including business attraction, retention and expansion
• Oversee entrepreneurship and small business assistance; work with Economic Development Director on goal setting
• Coordinate with City leadership to advance economic development priorities and workforce initiatives
