Job summary

BERKELEY RESEARCH GROUP, LLC seeks an Associate to join a team delivering data-driven economic insights for legal, business, and policy matters. You will source and curate large datasets, build econometric models, forecast outcomes, and prepare rigorous work products for expert reports and client deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related analytical field with an expected graduation date between Winter 2026 and Summer 2027.
  • 3.6 GPA or higher preferred.
  • Interest in applying analytics to business, legal, regulatory, or policy questions.
  • Strong quantitative, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced client-service environment.
  • Experience with Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL or similar; AI tools desirable.
  • Legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct economic, financial, statistical, and industry research to support client engagements.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, test hypotheses, and develop data-driven insights.
  • Support damage assessments, asset valuations, market analyses, forecasting, and regulatory or litigation-related evaluations.
  • Assist with preparation of expert reports, presentations, exhibits, and other client deliverables.
  • Develop understanding of industries, markets, legal claims, and business issues relevant to each engagement.
