Job summary

Slate is seeking an Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist to own the digital shelf for accessories, wraps, and merchandise. You will manage content in Akeneo, coordinate assets, and launch SKUs on schedule, ensuring consistent storytelling across the storefront.

You will work closely with design, marketing, and product teams to optimize catalog quality and drive conversions in a fast-paced startup environment. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with Excel, GA/Looker are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, marketing, merchandising or related field.
• 3–5 years in ecommerce merchandising, catalog management, or product content operations.
• Experience owning a product category or workstream end-to-end with light oversight.
• Hands-on experience in a PIM or CMS; Akeneo preferred, but training provided.
• Comfortable with variant-heavy catalogs across hard and soft goods.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising strategy across the ecommerce experience, keeping product storytelling on-brand.
• Maintain catalog in Akeneo and flag data quality gaps.
• Apply field-level standards for titles, limits, attributes, and image specs.
• Collaborate with product managers to gather inputs for launches.
• Own data entry, asset coordination, and SKU live on schedule.
• QA English and Spanish product content; translation support in place.
• Leverage AI to improve catalog tasks and content review.
• Build and update product pages and collections for launches and promos.
• Pull and report product performance data; flag what works and what doesn’t.
• Log site issues with details for UX and engineering.
• Travel 5–10% of time to Slate office sites.
