JOB SUMMARY

Add value to the company by ensuring a seamless and timely flow of new merchandise onto the website and into marketing channels. This employee will be responsible for improving existing product listings and work in lockstep with social media and marketing departments to cultivate online content and drive new product launches. We’ll look to SEO best practices to cultivate fresh on-site content to capture organic traffic and pitch new content to build our backlink profile.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Serve as a member of the E-commerce Team in accordance with our core values.

• Perform all regular duties associated with Merchandising in a professional manner.

• Continually develop and update overall site merchandising strategy for our brand, in accordance with the brand standards.

• While using SEO best practices, write product titles, descriptions and meta content for new products. Merchandise products within categories to ensure an immersive and cohesive shopping experience.

• Analyze competition to identify opportunities for on site blog content as well as backlink building opportunities.

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• IT proficiency, wordprocessing, excel, Netsuite and Shopifyexperience are a plus.

• Good communication skills, a proactive approach and a “can do” attitude.

• Creative copywriting skills are a must.

• Highly analytical, meticulous attention to detail.

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends and holidays, game days, graduations, ring day, special events.

Qualifications

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Marketing, Business, or a related field

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in e-Commerce, retail site merchandising preferred

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Website Merchandiser experience preferred, but not required.
