Role Overview
The eCommerce Manager owns the day-to-day performance of Tilit’s Shopify site and key eCommerce partners, with a primary focus on merchandising, conversion optimization, and execution.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable owning eCommerce in a lean environment and is motivated by improving the customer buying experience and driving revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Shopify & eCommerce Execution
- Own day-to-day management of the Shopify site, including products, collections, pricing, and merchandising
- Optimize homepage, collections, and product detail pages to improve conversion and clarity
- Ensure site accuracy, QA launches, and maintain a clean, intuitive shopping experience
- Manage product listings, content, and pricing for key eCommerce partners (e.g. Amazon, Sur La Table)
Lifecycle Marketing Collaboration
- Partner with Tilit’s lifecycle marketing agency to communicate promotions, launches, and restocks
- Provide initial review of email creative for accuracy and alignment with site merchandising
- Monitor email platform and eCommerce performance metrics and flag insights or issues
- Translate customer feedback and support themes into site and merchandising improvements
Revenue & Performance Ownership
- Own DTC revenue targets and weekly/monthly performance reporting
- Translate business goals into conversion, AOV, and retention strategies
- Partner with Finance and Leadership on forecasting, discounting impact, and margin tradeoffs
- Build and maintain a quarterly eCommerce growth roadmap
Website Optimization & CRO
- Own conversion rate optimization strategy, including:
- PDP and PLP optimization
- Checkout flow
- Navigation and site structure
- Develop and execute a structured A/B testing roadmap and partner with Web Dev to execute
- Identify friction points using data (Triple Whale, GA, heatmaps) and turn insights into action
- Management of SEO agency partner and priorities.
- Management of website development agency partner and priorities.
Merchandising & Digital Assortment Strategy
- Own on-site merchandising strategy, including:
- Collections
- Launch sequencing
- Bundles and upsells
- Ensure product storytelling aligns with brand voice while driving conversion
- Partner closely with Creative on homepage, PDPs, and campaign execution, with performance accountability
Lifecycle & Retention Strategy
- Own lifecycle marketing strategy across email and SMS in collaboration with agency partner, including:
- Welcome
- Post-purchase
- Win-back
- VIP
- Define segmentation strategy (DTC vs B2B, repeat vs first-time, high-value customers)
- Partner with marketing agency on execution and QA
- Own Shopify ecosystem and app stack
- Evaluate ROI of tools and maintain data cleanliness
- Lead collaboration with developers, agencies, or internal resources on site improvements
- Ensure site health, including speed, mobile experience, and reliability
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with:
- CX Team: insights from CX, returns data, customer feedback
- Ops & 3PL: inventory visibility and launch readiness
Qualifications
- 3–6 years experience in eCommerce or DTC operations
- Strong, hands-on Shopify experience
- Solid merchandising and conversion optimization instincts
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable working independently in a small team
- Experience in hospitality a plus

Work Environment: Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000; eligible for bonus
