Job description

Central Garden & Pet is looking for a Ecommerce Content Manager to own the day-to-day content health and performance of our equine brand portfolio across retailer platforms. This is a hands-on, data-driven role for someone who knows what a winning PDP looks like, and can connect content decisions to traffic, conversion, and buy box outcomes.

You’ll be the connective tissue between our brand marketing teams, agency partners, and retail channels — making sure our equine portfolio shows up correctly, converts efficiently, and stays competitive. This role is critical and offers significant visibility into omnichannel strategy across a portfolio with 80 years of category leadership.

This position will based in our Phoenix, AZ corporate office. We operate in a hybrid work environment with four (4) in-office days per week to support greater collaboration, learning, and team connection.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketplace Content Management
  • Manage end-to-end PDP content across Amazon (Vendor Central/Seller Central), Chewy, Walmart, Tractor Supply — including titles, bullets, descriptions, A+ / Premium A+ content, brand stores, and image/video assets
  • Ensures accurate and consistent product listings, content, and digital assets
  • Own the content calendar and intake process, partnering with BU marketing and our agency on briefs, SLAs, and asset handoffs
  • Maintain a centralized PIM/Salsify workflow as the single source of truth for product attributes, copy, and creative across channels
  • Manage storefront content, collections, and product pages
  • Ensure alignment with brand guidelines while adapting to retailer-specific best practices
Performance Analysis & Optimization
  • Pull, analyze, and act on Vendor Central/Seller Central reports — Brand Analytics, Search Query Performance, traffic and conversion metrics, Buy Box %, ASIN-level glance views and unit session percentage
  • Identify underperforming ASINs and build hypotheses to test (content, imagery, keyword targeting, pricing visibility)
  • Own the Amazon A/B testing roadmap (Manage Your Experiments) — prioritize tests, document results, and roll learnings across the portfolio
  • Track competitor content moves and surface implications
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Brand Marketing on new product launches — content readiness, Vine review velocity, keyword strategy, launch QA
  • Work with the Ecommerce team on AI/agentic commerce visibility (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Rufus) and content optimization for AI extractability
  • Coordinate with our agency on creative production and content refresh cycles
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years in ecommerce content management, with at least 3 years working directly in Vendor Central and/or Seller Central
  • Demonstrated experience pulling and interpreting Amazon reports — Brand Analytics, Search Query Performance, Search Terms, Business Reports, traffic and conversion data
  • Hands-on experience running A/B tests and translating results into portfolio-wide changes
