Job summary

Retrofête is seeking an eCommerce Assistant in New York to support day-to-day execution and maintenance of the Retrofête and Seroya eCommerce sites. You will ensure product information, pricing, merchandising, and content are accurate while aiding the broader ecommerce team with reporting.

Responsibilities include QA across sites, product data setup, digital merchandising, pricing updates, and recurring reporting.

Qualifications

  • Internship – 2 years of relevant experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, fashion, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and product data, plus recurring reporting.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, especially Shopify, is a plus.

  • Collaborate with teams to prepare new products for launches.

The eCommerce Assistant supports the day-to-day execution and maintenance of the Retrofête and Seroya eCommerce businesses. This role is responsible for ensuring product information, pricing, merchandising, and site content are accurate and up to date across both websites, while supporting the broader eCommerce team with reporting and operational needs.

Responsibilities:
Site Management & Quality Assurance
  • Conduct ongoing QA across the Retrofête and Seroya websites to ensure product information, pricing, imagery, links, collections, and overall site functionality are accurate.
  • Identify and upscale site issues, product discrepancies, or other customer-facing errors and support timely resolution.
  • Place a monthly test order across the eCommerce experience to validate checkout functionality and identify potential customer experience issues.
  • Monitor authorized payments and flag issues or discrepancies requiring follow‑up.
  • Support general day-to-day site maintenance and update as needed.
Product Setup & Content
  • Manage product setup for Retrofête, Seroya, and third‑party brands, ensuring all required product information is complete and accurate prior to launch.
  • Request and maintain UPC information from third‑party brand representatives as needed.
  • Write clear, compelling, and brand‑appropriate product copy for Product Detail Pages.
  • Ensure product attributes, descriptions, pricing, categorization, and other PDP information are accurately entered and maintained.
  • Add and remove styles from pre-order based on product availability and business direction
  • Partner with relevant teams to ensure new product is properly prepared and available for scheduled launches.
Digital Merchandising
  • Add and merchandise styles into the appropriate site collections, categories, and landing experiences.
  • Support ongoing product merchandising to ensure collections accurately reflect current inventory, launches, and business priorities.

  • Identify styles that are not yet live or are out of stock and communicate relevant product availability to the Merchandising team in support of email and marketing initiatives.
  • Help maintain a polished and commercially relevant customer experience across both websites.
Pricing & Markdowns
  • Pull markdown information for both Retrofête and Seroya and ensure accuracy prior to execution.
  • Execute scheduled markdowns across both websites.
  • Execute approved product price changes in accordance with the established price change process and documentation.
  • QA pricing following markdowns and price changes to ensure updates have been implemented accurately across the sites.
  • Partner with Merchandising and eCommerce teams to resolve pricing discrepancies as needed.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Support recurring eCommerce reporting by gathering, organizing, and validating performance data.
  • Prepare monthly reporting as requested.
  • Assist the eCommerce team with ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Develop an understanding of site and product performance and proactively flag notable trends, opportunities, or issues to the broader team.

  • Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000 DOE
