Job summary

Malbon is seeking a Data Analyst/Engineer to join our Digital team in Santa Monica, CA. You will own both data modeling and analysis, building pipelines from Shopify and ad platforms to a centralized warehouse while presenting insights to stakeholders.

You will work in a hybrid environment, own KPI definitions, and build self-serve BI across ecommerce, marketing, and finance. Prior experience with DTC data and cloud warehouses is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in large datasets and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with a transformation framework (dbt or equivalent) and cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with ecommerce data sources and data modeling for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pipelines bringing Shopify, ad platforms, Klaviyo, GA4, retail/POS, and ERP data into a central warehouse.
• Design and own the transformation layer with dimensional models and automated testing.
• Own source-of-truth datasets and document business logic behind core metrics.
• Develop dashboards across ecommerce, marketing, merchandising, retail, and finance.
• Establish KPI definitions and reporting standards for a single source of truth.
