Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Indianapolis is seeking an Ecological Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager to grow under senior ecologists on diverse projects in natural gas, renewable energy, and other sectors. The position blends field and office work with hands-on wetland training to develop as a consultant.

You will gain exposure to data interpretation, project financials, and client development as you advance toward senior responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a natural sciences field (e.g., Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Biology)
• 4+ years of ecological field study experience (wetlands/streams, botany, fisheries, forestry, T&E species)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of the scientific process and ability to work in a team
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple project needs

Responsibilities

• Work on projects for clients in various industries while mentored by senior ecologists
• Involve both field and office work from proposal to final deliverable
• Grow into a complete consultant with wetland training and cross-discipline skills
