As a Senior Ecological Professional for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will engage with our project teams to navigate today’s complex environmental regulatory landscape, helping our commercial, institutional, and energy clients to achieve and maintain natural resource permit compliance. You will supervise ecologists, provide senior level guidance during project implementation, and engage in project quality review and management. You will also be responsible for developing business for CEC through utilization of your existing network and internal CEC resources. Working with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you will impact the whole project – from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction.
CEC’s corporate Ecological Practice accounts for more than 15% of our annual revenues and encompasses a broad range of technical expertise, including wetland and stream assessments, delineations, and mitigation; Section 401/404 permitting; endangered species surveys; natural stream channel design and restoration; invasive plant control; bio‑retention and wetland treatment systems; and habitat assessments.
