Job summary

Avocado Green Brands is seeking a Prep-Finisher to join the Carpentry team. You will shape, finish, and restore our eco-friendly wood frames and furniture, inspecting for damage and applying finishes to achieve the desired color and design.

This on-site role at our Fullerton location requires attention to detail, experience with wood finishing, and safe use of hand and power tools. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a fast-growing, mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Wood Finisher is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and steady hands.
• In-depth knowledge of staining and finishing techniques.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and tool handling.
• Follow company safety culture and Cal OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble furniture or wooden items as needed.
• Inspect wood for rot and damage.
• Repair broken parts and fill cracks.
• Remove old finishes and solvents.
• Sand and smooth surfaces in preparation for finishing.
• Apply finishing lubricants (varnish, stain, shellac).
• Replace or refurbish upholstery.
