Job summary

Avocado Green Brands is seeking a Prep-Finisher to join the Carpentry team in Fullerton, on-site. You will shape, finish, and restore wooden products, inspect for damage, sand, apply finishes, and help refurbish upholstery as needed.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety practices in a fast-growing, eco-friendly wood-frame business. You will work closely with the Carpentry Manager and peers to ensure quality finishes and timely production.

Qualifications

• Experience with wood finishing and staining.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety culture and Cal OSHA regulations.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble furniture or wooden items as needed.
• Inspect wood for rot and damage.
• Repair broken parts, fill cracks and remove imperfections.
• Remove old finishes and solvents.
• Sand and smooth items prior to finishing.
• Apply finishes such as varnish, stains, or shellac.
• Refurbish upholstery as needed.
