Job summary

ExactHire is seeking a CAD Drafter in California to produce detailed working plans and drawings for components and assemblies. You will collaborate with engineers and the manufacturing team, manage ECOs, and ensure accuracy of drawings and bills of materials.

The role requires 3–5 years CAD drafting experience, proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and the ability to work from notes or sketches in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus relevant on-the-job experience.
• 3–5 years CAD drafting experience with PLM systems.
• 3–5 years of experience creating assembly drawings, BOMs, and ECOs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and chair Change Control Board (CCB).
• Create assemblies and fabrication drawings (light to medium complexity) using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Check drawings and BOMs for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
