Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center seeks an ECMO specialist to support care teams in developing and executing ECMO patient treatment plans. You will assess, plan, implement, and educate, collaborating with the ECMO physician and the broader ICU team to optimize each patient's course.

The role demands a Bachelor’s degree, specialized ECMO training, and at least two years in critical care, with BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Completion of an ECMO training program or formal education in extracorporeal circulation.
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Job Description
Job Purpose

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.
Licenses And/or Certifications
  • Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
  • Or RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Or CCP – Certified Perfusion License

And

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
Work Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
