Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an ECMO Specialist to participate in developing, implementing, and educating on ECMO patient care plans. You will coordinate with ECMO physicians and the medical team to interpret and adjust treatments, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care for ECMO patients.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, ECMO training, and licensure in RN, RRT, or CCP with BLS and ACLS certifications, plus a minimum of 2 years in critical care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Completion of an ECMO training program or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and participates in the ECMO patient treatment plan, including assessment, planning, implementation and education.
• Communicates with the ECMO physician and healthcare team to interpret, adjust and complete ECMO-specific patient care plans.

Job Description

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.

Licenses And/or Certifications

• Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
• Or RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care
• Or CCP – Certified Perfusion License

And

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association

Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
