Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an ECMO professional to provide highly specialized critical care and life-support to patients with severe cardiac or respiratory failure. You will manage ECMO circuits, monitor physiologic parameters, troubleshoot, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver life-sustaining support.

Requires an Associate of Science and nursing credential, BLS/ACLS, and five years in ECMO or MCS, with strong clinical judgment and teamwork in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Associates Of Science degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• BLS CPR certification on hire.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum five years in ECMO or mechanical circulatory support.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains ECMO staff coverage and call schedules.
• Maintains stock, expirations, and readiness of consumables/equipment.
• Provides ongoing training for team members and bedside staff.
• Collects and enters ECMO program performance data; participates in Morbidity & Mortality meetings.
• Participates in national CVSL meetings to standardize policies and technologies.
• Collaborates with leadership to monitor financial performance of the ECMO program.
