Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a skilled ECMO specialist to manage equipment maintenance, inventory, and coordination with Clinical Engineering. The role requires strong critical thinking, collaboration, and hands-on circuit design and operation in a high-stakes pediatric setting.

Responsibilities include QC testing, coordinating with vendors, and participating in performance improvement and education of peers to ensure safe, ethical practice in line with CLIA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field is required.
• RN/RRT clinical license or advanced training with certification in cardiovascular perfusion.
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• PALS and NRP discipline

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment maintenance and disposables inventory for ECMO.
• Demonstrate critical thinking for clinical decisions and rapid prioritization.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and participate in councils/committees.
• Design and operate ECMO circuits, perform QC testing per CLIA protocols.
• Engage in continuous process improvement and peer education.
