Job summary

SpecialtyCare is seeking an ECMO Specialist to operate and maintain ECMO circuits for patients needing cardiopulmonary support. You will work under supervision of an ECMO physician, assisting with initiation, management, and conclusion of ECMO therapies with strict safety practices.

You will collaborate with physicians, perfusionists, and clinical staff, monitor circuit integrity, and adjust parameters to maintain patient stability while following established guidelines and care plans.

Qualifications

• RN: Associate's or Bachelor’s in Nursing and active RN license.
• RT: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy with RRT certification.
• Perfusionist: Perfusion degree with CCP certification per ABCP or company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician, perfusionist and staff with initiation and management of ECMO.
• Demonstrate safety through hand-off and adherence to ECMO care plans.
• Examine circuit integrity and plan care with rounds.

Education

RN licensure required

Perfusionist qualification (CCP)
