Job summary

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in New York is seeking a Director/VP for Equity Capital Markets to originate and execute equity and equity-linked transactions, focusing on Technology, Consumer, FIG and Industrials sectors.

You will work with senior Industry Groups to drive deals and relationships with key institutional investors. The role requires 3–5 years of ECM execution experience, SPAC experience preferred, and a sales-driven capital markets mindset.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of ECM experience, primarily execution.
• SPAC experience preferred.
• Sales driven mentality with strong capital markets acumen.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Elevated attention to detail and teamwork.
• Dealogic, Ipreo, CapIQ, PlacementTracker, Bloomberg, MS Office knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Origination and execution of equity transactions (IPOs, Follow-ons, CMPOs, RDs, PIPEs, SPACs, Private Placements).
• Expand and develop relationships with institutional investors.
• Coordinate with issuers, sponsors, lawyers and other parties to drive deal processes.
• Develop sector understanding and lead pitch drafting and marketing documents.
• Analyze deal data for senior management and issuers.
• Support new business and growth initiatives; mentor analysts.
