Job summary

Luminis Health in Annapolis, MD seeks an Echocardiography Tech I to perform bedside and in-hospital echocardiograms, ensuring patient comfort and precise data collection.

You will work with PACS and EHR, maintain safety standards, and support physicians with timely imaging and reporting. A high school diploma plus an accredited echocardiography program and two years of adult echo experience are required. The position is full-time and on-site with pay range $43–$50 USD per hour.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program specializing in echocardiography.
  • Two years' experience performing adult echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Conducts Echocardiograms as requested throughout the Medical Center, including all patient rooms and the emergency room.
  • Explains procedure to patients, providing instructions and direct care to ensure accuracy and patient comfort.
  • Assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient requirement.
  • Recognizes artifacts, eliminates probable sources and troubleshoots minor equipment problems.
  • Consistently meets department standards for RVUs while maintaining quality work.
  • Processes images acquired from different modalities according to established policies and procedures.
  • Performs data entry as it relates to procedures, in PACS and Electronic Health Record.
  • Practices radiation safety and ensures that other staff and students are compliant.
  • Obtains pertinent clinical data adequately as it relates to procedures performed.
  • Analyzes, processes, and reports outcomes in a timely manner.

Essential Job Duties
