Position Objective
Performs echocardiographic procedures, using special equipment, to measure, calculate, and report pertinent patient data to facilitate accurate diagnostic outcomes.

- Conduct Echocardiograms as requested throughout the Medical Center, including all patient rooms and the emergency department.
- Explain the procedure to patients, providing instructions and direct care to ensure accuracy and patient comfort.
- Assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information to identify each patient’s needs.
- Recognize artifacts, eliminate probable sources, and troubleshoot minor equipment problems.
- Consistently meet department standards for RVUs while maintaining quality work.
- Process images acquired from different modalities according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform data entry related to procedures, including charges pick lists, logbook entries, and schedule functions to ensure corporate compliance.
- Practice radiation safety and ensure compliance by other staff and students.
- Obtain pertinent clinical data relevant to procedures performed.
- Analyze, process, and report outcomes in a timely manner.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited echo course.
- Certification or 3 years of experience with specialized training in echocardiology, with the ability to perform, measure, and preliminarily interpret echocardiographic studies.
Required License/Certifications
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification, obtained within 90 days of hire.

Pay Range
$33—$44.38 USD
