AdventHealth in Chatsworth, GA is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for PRN days. The role involves preparing and operating cardiac imaging equipment, assisting physicians, and ensuring safety standards are met.

You may cover at Gordon and Murray campuses and must be available for call one weekend monthly. Required are an associate degree (or higher) with 1+ hospital experience, BLS CPR, and registrations such as RCDS, RVS, RCS, or RVT.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hospital experience preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• RCDS / RVS / RCS / RVT certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and adjusts all cardiac imaging equipment and maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
• Performs routine and complex studies and assists physicians in imaging procedures.
• Recognizes structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Maintains clean, organized workspace and ensures equipment sanitization.

Job Description:

Work Schedule: PRN, Days. Call required one weekend a month with option to take call through the week. Able to work at least 2 days a week; primary position would be at Gordon but would also be able to cover at Murray.

• Sets up and adjust all cardiac imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams. Implements safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
• Performs routine and complex studies and assists physicians in various imaging procedures. Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Troubleshoots and resolves equipment issues to maintain operational efficiency. Participates in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in the field.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized. Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range:

$27.68 - $51.49
