Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care seeks a part-time Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer to perform diagnostic exams under physician supervision. You will schedule and prepare patients, educate them, and ensure safety during procedures. You will document results, maintain equipment, and participate in quality improvement and education activities.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI, BLS, and strong communication with medical teams. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in sonography, digital tools, patient care, time management, and healthcare communication.

Role Overview:

This position performs diagnostic cardiac and vascular exams under physician supervision to identify abnormalities, supporting patient diagnosis and care.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate technical competence, schedule and prepare patients, educate and ensure patient safety during procedures, communicate with medical teams, document results, maintain equipment, and participate in quality improvement and educational activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography, BLS certification, proficiency in sonography, digital tools, patient care, time management, and healthcare communication. Preferred candidates have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Physical & Other Requirements:

Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively, manipulate equipment, lift/move patients, and navigate busy environments. Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation tasks.
