Job summary

The Echocardiography Diagnostic Technologist position at Jefferson Health involves performing comprehensive echocardiographic studies (M-mode, 2D, Doppler) on clinical and research patients. You will assist physicians in transesophageal and stress echocardiography and help coordinate patient flow and staffing while upholding high-quality IAC standards.

Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma with a 2-year CAAHEP-accredited echocardiography program or CAAHEP-accredited cardiovascular

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma/GED and completion of a two-year echocardiography training program accredited by CAAHEP or cardiovascular technology program.
• ARDMS or CCI registration is required by a national certification body.
• BCLS certification is required.
• Knowledge of heart function and ability to perform echocardiograms per protocol.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete echocardiographic examinations including M-mode, two-dimension and Doppler.
• Assist Cardiologist, Fellows or staff in transesophageal and stress echocardiography.
• Coordinate patient flow and support educational activities while maintaining IAC standards.
• Document results and maintain accurate medical records.
