Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an echocardiography professional to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and perform echocardiograms for patients. The role requires ARDMS certification in AE or PR or an eligible pediatric cardiology substitution, with BLS and potentially ACLS.

Responsibilities include clear communication, building a collaborative environment, accountability, patient experience improvement, and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree echo program or accredited echo training program preferred.
• ARDMS in adult echo (AE) and/or pediatric echo (PR) required.
• A pediatric echocardiography competency statement from a pediatric cardiologist may substitute for ARDMS.
• Current Basic Life Support required; Advanced Cardio Life Support preferred.

Your Job: In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you‘ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients by performing echocardiograms. Your Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred.
• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in adult echo (AE) and/or pediatric echo (PR) required.
• A written statement from a pediatric cardiologist stating that the applicant is skilled and competent in independently performing all scopes of pediatric echocardiography may be substituted for the ARDMS.
• Current Basic Life Support required; Advanced Cardio Life Support preferred.
