Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an Echocardiography Technician to perform echocardiograms in a fast-paced, high-precision environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver accurate imaging and contribute to excellent patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited echo program, ARDMS certification in AE and/or PR, and BLS. ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited echo program preferred.
• ARDMS in adult echo AE and/or pediatric echo PR required.
• A pediatric echo competency letter from a pediatric cardiologist may substitute for ARDMS.
• Current Basic Life Support required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.

Your Job: In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you‘ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients by performing echocardiograms. Your Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred.
• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in adult echo (AE) and/or pediatric echo (PR) required.
• A written statement from a pediatric cardiologist stating that the applicant is skilled and competent in independently performing all scopes of pediatric echocardiography may be substituted for the ARDMS.
• Current Basic Life Support required; Advanced Cardio Life Support preferred.
