Job description

$15,000 sign-on bonus with a minimum of 1 year Pediatric experience, and an additional $10,000 sign-on bonus!

Hourly Pay Range:

$33.35 - $51.69. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:
  • $15,000 sign-on bonus with a minimum of 1 year Pediatric experience, and an additional $10,000 sign-on bonus
  • Position: Echocardiographer/Cardiac Sonographer/Echotech
  • Location: Evanston Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time, 40 hr/wk
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, rotating weekends, on call every 6 weeks
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel to other sites required
What You Will Do:
  • Schedule and complete exams across various modalities (TEE, TTE, stress, intraoperative, research, pediatric) with complete worksheet in reporting system prior to physician review.
  • Maintain a clean lab space and proper equipment.
  • Document properly in EMR and take vitals.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and flag significant findings appropriately.
  • Participate in monthly educational meetings (CME provided).
  • Engage in quality initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge per ASE guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree in Echocardiography, plus 320 internship hours or 1 year of echo training required.
  • Certification: RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI); new grads must obtain within 2 years. CPR certification required upon hire.
  • Experience: 2+ years preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to lift, move, and assist with heavy lifting of 100+ pounds.
