Job summary

University of Vermont Health Network CVMC – Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, VT is seeking a full-time Cardiac Ultrasound Technician. The role performs cardiac ultrasonographic procedures under supervision, supporting the cardiology services and hospital policies.

Qualifications include an associate degree in radiologic technology or related field, BLS training, and at least 1 year of cardiac ultrasound experience; RDCS registry is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Director of Cardiology performs a variety of highly technical cardiac ultrasonographic procedures through the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves. Functions within the scope of practice of Cardiology Services and the hospital policy and procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the hospital.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE

Associate Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent education/experience in a related health care field; RDCS registry preferred. BLS Training required.

EXPERIENCE

1 year experience cardiac ultrasound minimum.
