Qualifications

  • Graduates from a Cardiac Sonographer program with national certifications are required.
  • 3 years of experience preferred in the field of echocardiography.

Description

For 0.5FTE to 1.0 FTE (20 hours - 40 hours per week) - $10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible rehires and candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence.

The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist, under the direction of the Department Director and Manager, is expected to work independently performing a variety of echocardiography procedures for use in the diagnosis of heart disorders. The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist will independently perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) on adult, children, and neonatal patients and prepare a preliminary echo report for review by the interpreting Physician or LIP. Stress echocardiograms, both pharmacologic and exercise, will be performed by the Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist with the assistance of a qualified Respiratory Care Practitioner, Cardiologist, or other Licensed Independent Practitioner specialized in Cardiology.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a formal approved Cardiac Sonographer program
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or
  • Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in the field
