Job summary

Valley Regional Hospital is seeking an Echocardiogram Technologist Float to join our team. You will perform basic adult cardiac echocardiograms, edit tracings, and enter data while recognizing important findings to obtain optimal studies.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in cardiac ultrasound or RDCS/RCS eligible with echo experience, ARDMS certification, NH licensure, and BLS. VRH offers a robust benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in cardiac ultrasound or RDCS/RCS eligible with 1 year echo experience.
  • ARDMS RDCS or RCS in Adult Echocardiography required/preferred.
  • Licensed by NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures.
  • Edit tracings and enter data into computer.
  • Distinguish normal vs. abnormal findings.
  • Recognize arrhythmias and implications for optimal studies.
  • Operate complex echocardiography equipment as needed.

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for an Echocardiogram Technologist Float to join our team.


The primary responsibility of the Echocardiogram Technologist Float is:



  • Performs all basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures

  • Edits tracings

  • Makes measurements and enters data into computer

  • Distinguishes between normal and abnormal cardiac findings.

  • Performs cardiac sonographer duties to meet departmental needs including recognizing arrhythmias and the implications of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to obtain optimal studies.

  • Operates complex equipment accordingly.


An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:



  • Minimum - Associates Degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS eligible background with 1 year of cardiac echo experience.

  • Certified through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) in Adult Echocardiography.

  • Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire

  • BLS certification required.
