Job summary

Valley Regional Hospital is seeking an Echocardiogram Technologist to join our team. The role focuses on performing basic adult cardiac echocardiograms, editing tracings, and entering precise measurements into our systems.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate Degree in cardiac ultrasound or be RDCS/RCS eligible with 1 year of echo experience, plus ARDMS certification, NH licensure, and BLS certification to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum - Associate Degree from accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS eligible background with 1 year of cardiac echo experience.
• Certified through the ARDMS as a RDCS in Adult Echocardiography or RCS in Adult Echocardiography.
• Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in New Hampshire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures.
• Edits tracings.
• Makes measurements and enters data into the computer.
• Distinguishes between normal and abnormal cardiac findings.
• Performs cardiac sonographer duties to meet departmental needs, including recognizing arrhythmias and the implications of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to obtain optimal studies.
• Operates complex equipment accordingly.

The primary responsibility of the Echocardiogram Technologist is:

• Performs all basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures
• Edits tracings
• Makes measurements and enters data into the computer.
• Distinguishes between normal and abnormal cardiac findings.
• Performs cardiac sonographer duties to meet departmental needs, including recognizing arrhythmias and the implications of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to obtain optimal studies.

• Certified through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) in Adult Echocardiography.
• Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire
• BLS certification required.
