Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking an Echo/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist on a PRN first shift in the Cardiovascular Lab of Non-Invasive Cardiology. The role supports the Echocardiography and Vascular ultrasound areas, performing procedures and producing diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

The candidate should have ARDMS/CCI certification, an associate degree, and BLS. Rotating call/holidays/weekends are required; training and policy development duties are

Qualifications

• Rotating Call, Rotating Holidays, and Rotating Weekends.
• Associate degree.
• Registered Vascular/Echocardiography Ultrasound ARDMS or CCI board certifications.
• Additional Certification; must obtain Secondary Modality within 2 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cardiovascular Lab Coordinator with patient care management and adjusting daily operations.
• Assist Areas of Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound.
• Strong expertise in Echo and/or Vascular clinical applications.
• Act as a technical resource for other staff and assist in overseeing staff training.
• Perform Echo and/or Vascular procedures within scope of certifications and produce images for interpretation.
• Coordinate with EHR team and Director on changes/needs for the EHR.
• Keep licenses current and maintain compliance with standards.
• Assist Echo Medical Director and Echo Vascular Coordinator with policy/procedure writing for new procedures.
