Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo/Vascular Technician to support our clinical team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, coordinate with physicians, and ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality care.

The role emphasizes technical competence, ongoing education, and mentorship of staff and students, with a 4/10 schedule, rotating Saturdays, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold ARDMS/CCI cardiac or vascular sonography credentials.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree verification.
• 1+ year of echocardiography experience.
• For II level, hold ARDMS/CCI and/or ACS registries.
• Pursue additional registry credentials relevant to department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams; coordinate with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare for exams with patient identification and education; transport patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams; maintain safety and quality outcomes.
• Document results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers/students on equipment and technique.
• Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and participate in QA processes.
• Provide education to colleagues, fellows, and students.
