Job Summary And Qualifications

The Cardiovascular Sonographer is a highly skilled individual qualified by academic and clinical experience to produce and evaluate ultrasound images.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (RDCS‑AE) RDCS Adult Echocardiography, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist
• Associate degree or Bachelor degree from an accredited school for Sonography
• Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience performing routine echocardiology exams (e.g., 2‑D, M‑Mode, Color Flow, Spectral Doppler). Transesophageal echo (TEE). 5 years of more experience preferred.
