Position Summary

Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic cardiology and/or vascular sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention under supervision.

Responsibilities

1. Demonstrate competency in routine noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology and/or vascular ultrasound diagnostics, and equipment operation and maintenance.
2. Perform routine assignments using established procedures.
3. Work closely with cardiologists to perform diagnostic exams and function independently in the absence of supervision.
4. Exercise professional judgment, ensure patient safety, and comply with regulations.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of sonography, with current BLS certification. Must maintain ARDMS or CCI registration as specified, and demonstrate competency in performing various echocardiology and vascular exams within six months of hire.
