Echo / Vascular Sonographer I - Horizon West

Position Summary

Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic cardiology and/or vascular sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention under supervision.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Demonstrates competency in routine noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology and/or vascular ultrasound diagnostics, and equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Performs routine assignments using established procedures.
  • Works closely with cardiologists to perform diagnostic exams, functioning independently when needed.
  • Exercises professional judgment, ensures patient safety, and complies with regulations.
Other Related Functions
  • Assist in transporting patients, clerical duties, maintaining work areas, and other departmental responsibilities.
  • May work after hours, on call, and assist with contrast administration or IV insertion as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Training

Graduate of an accredited school of sonography, with certification aligned with ARDMS and/or CCI standards.

Licensure/Certification
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Maintain certification such as RDMS, RDCS, RCS, ACS, RCCS, RVT, or RVS.
Experience

Ability to perform routine echocardiology and vascular exams, with competency in at least three advanced procedures within six months of hire.
