Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks an experienced Echo Vascular Sonographer to perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies in an outpatient clinic setting. The role is primarily vascular, with more than 75% of workload devoted to vascular imaging, and requires dual-certification in vascular and echocardiography.

No nights, weekends, or on-call duties. The ideal candidate will have strong vascular experience and be able to work independently across multiple client locations, while maintaining patient

Qualifications

• Must hold both vascular and Echo certifications.
• Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) certification.
• Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification.
• Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
• At least 2 years of ultrasound experience.
• Strong hands-on vascular experience is required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel to assigned clinical locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies, >75% of workload, including venous/arterial scans.
• Renal artery studies.
• Carotid studies.
• Venous insufficiency studies.
• Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) studies.
• Ankle-brachial index (ABI).
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) studies.
• Lower-extremity vascular studies.
• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
• Obtain patient histories and communicate findings to physicians.
• Travel to assigned client locations as required.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment safely.
• Support accreditation requirements.
• Adhere to safety and sterile protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Echo Vascular Sonographer to perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies in an outpatient clinical setting. This position is primarily focused on vascular imaging, with more than 75% of the workload involving vascular studies.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in both vascular and echocardiography and be comfortable performing a wide range of vascular studies independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies, which make up more than 75% of the role, including:
  • Venous and arterial scans
  • Renal artery studies
  • Carotid studies
  • Venous insufficiency studies
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) studies
  • Ankle-brachial index (ABI)
  • Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) studies
  • Lower-extremity vascular studies
• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
• Obtain thorough patient histories and communicate relevant findings to interpreting physicians.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely.
• Support ACR and IAC accreditation requirements.
• Follow clinical, safety, and sterile environment protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Travel safely to assigned client locations as required.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards.

Required Qualifications

• Must hold both Vascular and Echo certifications.
• Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) certification.
• Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification.
• Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
• At least 2 years of ultrasound experience.
• Strong hands-on vascular experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Venous and arterial imaging
  • Renal arteries
  • Carotid
  • Venous insufficiency
  • AAA
  • ABI
  • DVT
  • Lower-extremity studies
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel to assigned clinical locations.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, turn, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull medical equipment.

Important: Candidates with only Echo certification or limited vascular experience will not meet the requirements for this position. Strong vascular experience is essential.

Compensation & Sign-On Bonus

• $48-$53/hour
• Compensation is capped at $53/hour
• $10,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments:
  • First paycheck
  • Paycheck that includes the candidate's 6-month anniversary
