Job summary

Boone Hospital Center is seeking a candidate for an entry-level position to perform adult transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound exams. The ideal candidate will join a dedicated team focusing on cardiovascular ultrasound imaging in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role offers 40 hours of work per week with a day shift commitment and provides a $10,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits starting from day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in an accredited Sonography Program expected.
• BLS certification required within the first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiovascular ultrasound imaging examinations.
• Conduct studies independently in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Maintain equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation of all procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians for accurate diagnosis.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary

Performs adult transthoracic echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echo exams, and vascular ultrasound exams. Procedures include but are not limited to carotid Doppler, ABI/arterial Doppler, venous Doppler (DVT and venous reflux).

Job Responsibilities

• Performs cardiovascular ultrasound imaging examinations.
• Performs studies independently in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as procedural areas such as the Cardiac Cath Lab and Operating room.
• Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Ensures proper documentation of procedures.
• Collaborates with reading physicians and medical staff for diagnosis.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED & enrollment in an accredited Sonography Program.
• Experience: No experience.
• Supervisor Experience: No supervisor experience required.
• License/Certification: None required; BLS required within first 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree – Sonography.
• Experience: < 2 years’ experience.
• Supervisor Experience: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation license required.
• License/Certification: RDCS license required.
