St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures, capture high-quality cardiac images, and support patient comfort.

The role requires strong cardiac anatomy knowledge, technical skill, and clear communication to provide accurate diagnostic services. Responsibilities include equipment preparation, daily maintenance, quality checks, inventory, and handling a range of echo studies for diverse patient needs.

Competenze

• BLS CPR required within 14 days of hire.
• Professional certifications listed above must be obtained by the date of hire.
• Experience performing echocardiography studies and operating ultrasound equipment.

Mansioni

• Performs ultrasound diagnostic imaging on patients per department protocols.
• Prepares equipment and ensures it is operational and safe.
• Maintains daily equipment and room logs and performs quality checks.
• Performs clinical supply inventory and participates in patient testing as needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

• Performs ultrasound diagnostic imaging on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols


• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning


• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed after each procedure


• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained


• Completes all clinical supply inventory


• Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non‐routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests

• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days

Preferred

• Associate's degree or


• One year certificate from a health related program in a related medical field, which includes seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound

Pay Range

$36.51 - $54.31 /hour
