Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to oversee and perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic tests in the echocardiography laboratory, assist physicians and sonographers, and ensure high-quality exams.

The ideal candidate will hold RCIS certification, BLS within 30 days, an Associate’s Degree in Sonography, and demonstrate proficiency in stress, pediatric, and transesophageal echoes, imaging, positioning, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • RCIS certification required
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Associate’s Degree in Sonography or equivalent experience required
  • Proficiency in performing echo tests including stress, pediatric, and transesophageal echoes
  • Strong technical skills in imaging, positioning, and documentation
  • Team-oriented with compassionate patient care

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex echocardiographic procedures following departmental guidelines
  • Ensure imaging quality and review patient data for accuracy
  • Accurately document studies and charges in relevant systems
  • Administer contrast agents when appropriate
  • Participate in call rotations, providing timely and quality studies
  • Continually seek to enhance knowledge through learning and collaboration

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification from CCI
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
  • Associate's Degree in Sonography or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in performing various echo tests including stress, pediatric, and transesophageal echoes
  • Strong technical skills in imaging, positioning, and documentation
  • Team-oriented with compassionate patient care
