Job summary

Plan A Health is seeking a skilled cardiovascular sonographer to perform high-quality echocardiography on adult patients, including two-dimensional imaging and Doppler assessments. You will support stress testing and assist with transesophageal studies when required, collaborating with cardiologists to correlate imaging findings with clinical data.

The ideal candidate will hold ARDMS or CCI certification within one year and a BLS credential within 30 days, with a solid background in sonography

Qualifications

  • ARDMS or CCI certification within one year; BLS certification within 30 days.
  • Educational background in Sonography or a related field.
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, imaging artifacts, and clinical procedures.
  • Proficiency in echocardiographic techniques, patient positioning, and data interpretation.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct two-dimensional ultrasound studies and utilize Doppler techniques to evaluate cardiac structure and function.
  • Identify EKG abnormalities, assess blood flow, and estimate severity of valvular issues.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, select transducers, and capture images from multiple views.
  • Assist with stress tests, monitor responses, and interpret results.
  • Communicate with cardiologists, document procedures, and maintain quality control.
  • Participate in mobile and regional echo services, troubleshoot equipment, and adhere to protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and cross-training in related ultrasound disciplines.

Job description

Role Overview: This position involves performing high-quality echocardiography procedures on adult patients, including ultrasound imaging of the heart and great vessels, stress testing assistance, and transesophageal echocardiograms. The role requires recognizing abnormalities, understanding imaging techniques, and correlating clinical data to support diagnosis.

Responsibilities Include
