Responsibilities include engaging with the team, following protocols, and contributing to an efficient echocardiography workflow during a 13-week assignment on a day shift. BLS is required; RCIS certification preferred.

Description:The Echo Technologist oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory.Perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing.Assist physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams.Perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines.Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.Document accurately and completely.Cross-train to other divisions of CV services.Administer contrast when needed and not contraindicated.Complete documentation of studies performed and charges in the system as well as complete preliminary information for physician reading.Participate in a rotation of call throughout the week and on weekends with other team members.Be team-minded and provide compassionate care and quality studies to our community of patients.Perform all forms of echocardiographic testing in a timely fashion.Seek to advance knowledge in all aspects of echocardiography with an open mind to constructive learning and teaching.
