Job summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton, PA, is seeking an experienced Echo Sonographer to acquire echocardiographic exams and support the adult echocardiography laboratory. You will perform imaging procedures under licensed supervision and assist with ultrasound enhancing agents in compliance with ASE guidelines.

The role requires ARDMS or CCI, BLS, and at least 1 year of related experience. We offer a collaborative environment with patient-centered care and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct order, patient identification, and documented clinical history.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize factors, and uphold ALARA.
• Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluate images for quality and manage data archival/transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Communicate abnormal findings to the provider and assist interventional procedures.
