Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Echo Technologist to perform comprehensive cardiac imaging from standard echocardiograms to stress and transesophageal studies. You will work with cutting-edge systems and join a team committed to clinical excellence and ICARE values.

The role requires current registry in Adult Echo (RDMS/RDCS/RCS) or registry-eligible status within 12 months, and BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current registry in Adult Echo (RDMS, RDCS, or RCS) and registry-eligible candidates welcomed if completion within 12 months.
• Must obtain BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced cardiac imaging procedures including echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Bubble Studies and use of contrast agents for diagnostic accuracy.
• Maintain testing equipment and clean probes using the TD100 automated system.
• Provide patient education and perform bedside studies or transport patients as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency with digital acquisition and archival systems for imaging data.
• Participate in departmental call schedule and perform related clerical duties.
• Uphold standards of practice and contribute to customer service initiatives and age-appropriate care.

What you will do in this role:

• You will perform advanced cardiac imaging procedures, including echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms.

• You will demonstrate proficiency in Bubble Studies and the appropriate use of contrast agents to ensure maximum diagnostic accuracy.

• You will maintain the functionality and cleaning of all testing equipment, including the documentation and cleaning of probes using the TD100 automated system.

• You will provide clear education to patients regarding their procedures and perform bedside studies or transport patients as needed to facilitate care.

• You will demonstrate proficiency in using digital acquisition and archival systems for all imaging data.

• You will participate in the departmental call schedule and perform necessary clerical duties associated with cardiovascular procedures.

• You will assume responsibility for standards of practice, promoting customer service initiatives and maintaining age-appropriate care for all patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• You must possess a current registry in Adult Echo (RDMS, RDCS, or RCS), though registry-eligible new graduate candidates are welcome provided completion is achieved within 12 months of hire.

• You must obtain BLS certification within 6 months of hire. You must possess demonstrated knowledge of human growth, development, and assessment for various patient age groups.

• You must have a strong dedication to supporting the facility’s Standards of Performance and the ICARE values.
