Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification within one year.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiograms and correlate clinical data.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure high-quality image acquisition.
• Assist with stress tests and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Interpret and communicate findings to cardiologists and document procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.

Role Overview

The ultrasound technologist is responsible for producing high-quality cardiac images for adult patients, assisting with stress testing, and performing related duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiograms, recognizing abnormalities and correlating clinical data.
• Operate ultrasound equipment, select appropriate transducers, and ensure optimal image acquisition across multiple cardiac views.
• Assist with stress tests, including pharmacological and exercise protocols, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Interpret and communicate findings to cardiologists, document procedures accurately, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Participate in quality improvement, cross-training, and professional development activities to stay current with echocardiography advancements.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently, utilize resources responsibly, and support team collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification in ARDMS or CCI within one year, and BLS certification.
• Educational background in sonography or related field; open to new graduates.
• Proficiency in cardiac imaging techniques, anatomy, and recognizing pathologies.
• Strong patient care, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
