Qualifications

• Graduate from a two-year Cardiovascular Technologist program.
• Active RDCS or RCS registries with the appropriate credentialing.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians and other caregivers.
• Empathy toward patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms, stress tests, stress echoes and Dobutamine stress echo.
• Assist cardiologist with transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Consult with cardiologists for interpretation of test results.
• Maintain records of testing documentation.
