Job summary

Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, UT is seeking a PRN Echocardiology Technician to perform echo procedures in accordance with scope and practice standards. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree, current BLS certification, and an active echo registry, plus the ability to educate patients and coordinate procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required.
• BLS certification must be current upon hire.
• Current echo registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and quality control procedures; troubleshoots equipment as needed.
• Positions patient and performs imaging; analyzes results and reports scan results.
